Complaints of Electricity Subscribers ! In the last few months, i've also written a recent article, "Electric Terrorist Organization";
I encountered a heavy e-mail traffic from electricity subscribers describing their grievances, and it turns out that the situation has reached more dire dimensions than we know;
Every e-mail that comes to me is answered with absolutely. Some may be a little late, but you'll be answered to the extent that we certainly know.
That's why I believe it's important to share the events that cause consumers' grievances here and to inform them to help consumers address their grievances, so I'm going to address the issues and their solutions.
Due to voltage fluctuations in the electrical grid recently, faults are occurring in subscribers' residences, businesses and irrigation facilities based on voltage fluctuations of electrical and/or electronic devices.
Complaints of Electricity Subscribers – Leakage Current Relay
When subscribers in this situation apply to the relevant distribution company for recourse to the damages incurd, some distribution companies reject the rightful demands of the subscribers, saying that the victimization is not caused by them by is isaing a report that there is no "leakage current relay" in the subscribers' premises.
However, electricity distribution companies are responsible for providing quality and uninterrupted electrical energy to their customers in accordance with the Technical Quality Regulation of Electricity Distribution issued by EPDK (Energy Market Regulatory Board).
In addition, the leakage current relay is not a device that can prevent voltage fluctuations from the network; It is the same company that approved the connection of the facility to the network in the inspection of the installation, seeing that there is no leakage current relay, even though it was done later with the status of the facilities that were built before the application of the leakage current relay and which had gained legal subscriber status by signing the retail contract.
Therefore, if there is a defect in the installation; this defect is directly owned by the electricity distribution company, for which reason the consumer cannot be held responsible.
What to Do Against Consumer Victimization
Consumers who encounter such problems;
First, they need to receive a report and repair invoice from the service where they repair their electrical or electronic devices damaged by voltage, and an official report from the local chamber of electrical engineers.
They can ask for recourse to their documented damages by contacting the distribution company regarding a petition they will present in addition to the photocopies of these documents they will provide. Consumers should remember to get the date and document registration number when they file their petition with the relevant distribution company.
In addition, if the measuring device in your facility is electronic, it will give you the necessary information as your biggest witness. Because electronic meters record interruption and voltage information on a phase-by-phase. You can obtain this information and use it as evidence.
If the company responds negatively, the consumer may contact the arbitrator's committees; in inconclusible cases, they can sue the distribution company and res0.
Some companies always blame someone without admiting their mistakes, or consumers are always guilty, they even threaten consumers in a variety of ways, you're just looking for your rights, don't let your rights be usurped.
