Considerations for Energy Distribution Companies
Every 1% amount of runaway energy that can occur when a distribution company that takes 100,000,000 kwh of energy per month does not pay the necessary attention to the meter reading and measurement circuit;
It is worth 1,000,000 kwh, which means a loss of TL 161,090.00 per month as a result of its material value multiplied by the january-march 2012 period when the net kwh sales price of the dmedon unfunded kwh was multiplied by 0.16109.

Electricity Subscriber Counters
There are currently two types of electricity counters available to electricity subscribers.
- Electromethanic (analog) counters.
- Electronic meters.
Electromeatic meters can record either active or only inductive or capacitive reagent consumptions in kwh of total consumption only without details such as time zones and load profile.
However, electronic meters;

Next Generation Electricity Meters
Rs 232 or RS485 communication units are available for remote communication in 2000 model and above three-phase electronic meters.
In addition, it is the possibility to obtain the above mentioned information from the optical port of each electronic meter.
Currently, these electronic counters; Methods of receiving data through GPRS (General Packet Radio Services), PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) or RF (Radio Frequency) protocols are implemented. In addition, two-way communication can be established through these protocols.
In addition to all this, PLC (Powerline Communication) is able to access electricity meters from a center with communication facilities via Power Lines, to receive consumption information or to open/cut.
Status of Electricity Subscribers in Turkey
There are approximately 30,000,000 electrical meter actively used in electricity subscribers in Turkey.
Approximately 30% of these meters are electromethanic type meters, according to the current law of measurements and settings, the stamp year 10 years of the counters are required to be taken into care and re-stamped; this generally covers these electromeatic meters.

The consumption of electricity meters at the energy exchange point of the distribution companies is evaluated as of 24.00 at night on the last day of each month; It is never possible to fully rate the purchase and sale amount, as the consumption values of subscriber counters, which are the end users of this electricity received, can be received spread over an average period of 30 days.
Therefore, leakage/loss rates can always be calculated approximately.
If customer counters can be read within a day, such as purchase counters, both the purchase and sales rate will be more realistic, and leakage rates can be clearly observed, especially on the condition of transformer location.
